scoped-carbine-13">Introduction to Scoped Carbine</a>\nJoin us for this cl
ass hosted/presented by our training partners! Click the link at the botto
m of the description to for more information or to register. Introduction
to Scoped Carbine will train shooters on the fundamental skills needed to
effectively engage targets out to 500 yards with their lightweight\, semi-
automatic carbines. Students will learn about rifle scope setup\, MOAs and
MILs\, reticle types\, and other aspects of lightweight-precision rifle s
etup. Students will receive refresher instruction on the fundamentals of m
arksmanship (shooting from a prone position) and external ballistics. The
class will then be shown the step-by-step process for chronographing ammun
ition\, and entering data into a ballistic calculator app\, which will the
n provide baseline ballistic data needed to engage long-range targets. Stu
dents will be walked through the “truing” process\, and engage targets
repeatedly out to 500 yards. When students have completed this class\, th
ey will possess the knowledge to obtain and confirm ballistic data for any
rifle / ammo combination\, saving them time\, money and frustration in th
e future when purchasing a new rifle\, changing ammunition\, scopes or oth
er equipment. Additionally\, students will learn how to account for enviro
nmental affects\, which will allow them to shoot in any environment or loc
ation and be able to obtain accurate firing solutions for their rifle. Thi
s course is not designed for new rifle shooters - students who attend shou
ld have first successfully completed a basic carbine course\, or be profic
ient in manipulating their carbines\, zeroing\, and have the skills to sho
ot consistent groups with their carbines at 100 yards. Areas covered in th
